Job Summary:
The Campus Minister for the Middle School oversees the Campus Ministry Team and the
Student Core Team and coordinates efforts that support sacramental presence and spiritual events
including Mass, liturgies, and prayer services. This position promotes Ignatian spirituality to the
student body and lead its efforts to serve as a positive student outreach program. It also
oversees, coordinates, executes, and evaluates retreats for the student body and promotes
mission-centeredness through other activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist Campus Ministry Team and Student Core Team with all school liturgies and class
Masses.
- Collaborate with Campus Ministry Team on prayer services for Advent and Lent.
- Assist with liturgy planning for Father and Son Mass, Mother and Son Mass, Grandparent
Mass, and Mass of Remembrance.
- Assist Campus Ministry Team with organizing weekly Adoration and Reconciliation.
- Facilitate leaders for Advent and Lent prayer groups.
- Coordinate Reconciliation during Advent and Lent with Jesuit community.
- Facilitate leadership teams for discipleship workshops and Campus Ministry retreats.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and weekly Care Team meetings.
- Organize and reserve facility locations for events.
- Cultivate a friendly, open, supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment in Campus
Ministry space that allows students to grow in their spirituality as a community.
- Be available and present on a regular basis to students.
- Develop discipleship and student leaders motivated by faith and service.
- Utilize social media with students to keep the community informed and involved in Campus
Ministry mission and events.
- Organize and assist with Campus Ministry Team on class activities.
- Lead or assist with retreats.
- Coordinate follow-up retreat activities.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership to evaluate and build the Ignatian character,
mission, and identity of the school.
- Incorporate Ignatian spirituality and pedagogy into professional life and foster Ignatian
principles among the faculty and student body.
- Promote personal growth and emphasize the value of stewardship among the faculty and
student body.
- Provide an administrative presence at athletic, co-curricular, and mission-oriented activities
such as retreats and service trips.
- Actively participate in the Catholic mission and life of the school, using the Gospels as
guide.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in divinity, theology, ministry, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience with students and administrators at the middle
school or secondary level.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Genuine commitment to building community and deepening faith through liturgy,
spirituality, solidarity, and retreats.
- Practicing Catholic, knowledge of Jesuit Ignatian spirituality and Catholic social teaching.
