Job Summary
The Architect will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of mixed-use developments, ensuring that projects are not only aesthetically pleasing but also exceptionally functional and practical while staying true to our Dutch heritage. This position involves a blend of creative design, practical project supervision, and collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the building and construction process, simultaneously using our global supply chain to establish a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate potential development opportunities.
- Develop innovative architectural designs for mixed-use developments that meet client needs and align with project goals.
- Create comprehensive architectural plans, drawings, and specifications for various phases of the project.
- Project Management
- Oversee the building and construction process, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, design changes, and progress reports.
- Manage and maintaining global supply chain/logistics with global partners/vendors.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws and building codes.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Client Interaction
- Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and recommendations throughout the design process.
- Present design concepts and project updates to clients, stakeholders, and community members.
- Sustainability and Innovation
- Integrate sustainable design practices and innovative technologies into projects to enhance environmental performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in architectural design and construction techniques.
- Team Collaboration
- Mentor and guide junior architects as we continue to build our team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide architectural insight and support overall project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect with 5-10 years of experience in real estate development and mixed-use projects.
- Proficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements,
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis to various countries to manage and maintain vendor and customer relationships and ensure quality manufacturing.
