Job Overview:
- Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging procedures.
- Performs quality control and quality assessment.
- Assists physicians with interventional procedures.
- Takes on-call duty and responds to emergency call back.
- Participates in staff in-service program.
- Schedules patients for procedures.
- Keeps area supplied and clean.
- Assists with orientation of new staff and students.
- Assists clerical area when needed.
- Perform EMR/PACS functions.
- Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense.
- Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:
- The individual must be a graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or meet clinical experience, didactic course work and alternative eligibility as specified in the ARDMS application for certification instructions.
- Employee must be RVT and/or RVS and RDMS registry eligible upon hire. Employee will be required to obtain RVT and/or RVS and RDMS within first 18 months.
- If employee is RDMS or registry eligible, no additional experience necessary.
