Job Requirements Current active IL RN license AHA BLS AHA ACLS NIHSS Minimum Experience : Two years of strong Med Surg / TELE 1 travel assignment required Neuro experience preferred Schedule Information 12hr Days Every other weekend Every other holiday Unit Specific Information Unit Information : 8 beds. Ratio : 1 : 4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignment Additional Unit Information : New unit, initially will be a mixed unit with Neuro and Medical overflow. Additional Details Patient Population : Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back / neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medical Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required. Skillset : Comfortable taking medical overflow patients, NIHSS / dysphagia screen / strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s / straight cath / Foleys, initiate / titrate heparin gtts., blood / blood product administration / venipuncture / blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills Unit Information : 8 beds. Ratio : 1 : 4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignment Additional Unit Information : New unit, initially will be a mixed unit with Neuro and Medical overflow.
