Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic is seeking a supplemental Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Express Care department in Mt. Vernon, IL. This is a supplemental DSS (PRN) position working 12-hour shifts at Deaconess Illinois Express in Mt. Vernon and opportunity to rotate to the Marion or West Frankfort Express Care if willing. Express care is open 7 days a week 8 AM – 8PM. Candidates should be licensed in the State of Illinois, and certified by the ANCC/AANP as a Nurse Practitioner or certified by the NCCPA as a Physician Assistant.
Deaconess Illinois Clinic
- We are a multi-specialty clinic with 350 providers in 50 locations across the region.
- Typical urgent care visits include routine acute care services, physicals, procedures, as well as the following:
- Minor Illnesses:
- Cold and Flu Symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion)
- Sinus Infections
- Ear Infections or Ear Pain
- Strep Throat
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
- Allergies (seasonal or mild reactions)
- Minor Injuries:
- Sprains and Strains
- Minor Burns
- Small Cuts or Lacerations (that may need stitches or bandages)
- Minor Fractures (e.g., fingers or toes)
- Bruises or Contusions
- Skin Issues:
- Rashes
- Skin Infections (e.g., impetigo, cellulitis)
- Bug Bites or Stings
- Mild Allergic Reactions (without breathing difficulties)
- Fully implemented EMR Epic
- Student Loan Forgiveness

Bonus:
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
Compensation:
Hourly Range $45.60 - $68.40
Salary : $46 - $68
