What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician IL position at Deaconess Illinois Transcare EMS?
Job Overview:
A Deaconess Illinois EMT provides emergency medical care and transportation to patients who access the EMS System. The EMT is an entry level position to the EMS team and is trained to assist higher certified technicians including paramedics in the treatment of patients. In non-emergency situation, the medical response team provides transportation to patients who require an ambulance because of a medical condition. In most cases, the EMT provides these services. Teamwork at Trans-Care is pivotal to a strong EMS system.
As an EMT, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- EMT Basic IL license. AHA BLS required.
- Valid Driver's License
Compensation:
Hourly Range - $18.06-$25.28
Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
