Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Secretary / Purchaser to handle secretarial functions for the Pharmacy department with minimal supervision. This position includes tasks such as word processing, data management, record-keeping, and generating forms. Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the role also involves purchasing all pharmacy supplies and medications, managing contracts with our buying group, tracking recalls, and assisting with physician orders. In the absence of the Chief Pharmacy Technician, the Pharmacy Secretary / Purchaser will fill in with billing, ordering, and Pyxis document checks.
Required : Certifications / Licenses / Experience :
High School graduate with valid State of Indiana Pharmacy Technician license. 3 years of hospital technician experience required.
