What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Director of Treasury position at Deaconess?
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned :
Establish department direction, training of personnel, and performance standards.
Assist direct reports in planning, developing, communicating, and implementing the strategic financial direction for Deaconess in congruence with the overall DHS / DH strategic plan.
Manage all collection and distribution channels for the health system.
Maintain banking relationships and optimize banking services.
Manage short term liquidity including cash, money market, and commercial paper funds.
Maintain treasury policies for Deaconess Health System.
Support capital budgeting process including setting capital allocation targets.
Track and forecast capital spend.
Calculate, track, and trend capital ratios.
Cash forecasting.
Building and maintaining portfolio of debt instruments.
Integration of new entities into DHS debt portfolio.
Manage leasing activity.
Ensuring compliance with debt covenants.
Maintain relationship with Outsourced Chief Investment Officer
Manage Joint Venture Investments
Integration of new entities into DHS Investment portfolio.
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reporting for external agencies.
Other special financial and management projects to support Board(s), executive management, department directors, managers and supervisors throughout the Health System and Deaconess Hospital.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Manages and leads subordinate managers of employees in the Treasury, Capital Management, Debt Management, and Investment Management Units. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
