Job Summary
As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for directing and controlling traffic around a construction site to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
Duties
- Direct traffic at construction sites using hand signals or flags
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones and barricades
- Communicate with construction crews to coordinate traffic flow
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust controls as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
Requirements
- Experience in traffic control or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including backhoe, dump truck, front loader truck, and bulldozer
- Familiarity with utility locating procedures
- Ability to operate construction site equipment such as loaders and Caterpillar machinery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
