Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sushi preparation and presentation, with an emphasis on quality and creativity. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by crafting beautiful and delicious sushi dishes that reflect our commitment to fine dining.

Duties

• Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring high standards of taste and visual appeal.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Manage inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
• Assist in menu development by contributing innovative ideas for new sushi dishes or specials.
• Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques.
• Engage with guests when necessary to enhance their dining experience through knowledge sharing about sushi.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments.
• Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools efficiently.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to sushi and Japanese cuisine.
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and preferences is a plus, with the ability to accommodate diverse customer needs.

Pay: $20.85 - $27.50 per hour
