WHY WE’RE LOOKING:
DealerBuilt is seeking candidates for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Development team and help build out the next generation of our AWS Cloud based Dealer Management System platform. This role will report to the VP of Engineering. The ideal candidate is a self-starter experienced in designing and developing extensible, scalable software solutions. You will have the opportunity to create technical solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative and Agile environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Full lifecycle software development, including design work, coding, testing, devops deployments, troubleshooting and support

Iterative modernization efforts to produce secure, extensible, and scalable solutions

Maintain and enhance existing DealerBuilt products
-
Mentor junior team members and perform peer code reviews
-
80-90% hands on coding
-
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and management

Drive product quality and customer satisfaction
-
Analyze defects to determine root cause and provide durable, maintainable solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance related issues
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
-
5 years of extensive hands-on development experience using the .NET stack (C#, .NET Core, .NET
-
Framework)
-
Experience developing SOAP/XML web services and RESTful APIs
-
Object Oriented Programming and Design awareness
-
Experience in Agile practices
-
Hands-on development experience with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS),
-
such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

Ability to write unit tests and develop testable code with each iteration

Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills

Passion for solving business challenges and design problems to meet client needs
