ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not are limited to, loading, unloading, and moving materials for Dealers Warehouse by performing the following:
· To read, write, and communicate in a professional manner;
· To read work orders, pick tickets, and follow oral instructions to collect materials for loading or containers to be moved;
· To locate materials about the warehouse to fulfill orders;
· To load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves;
· To load materials into trucks and other company vehicles and, when necessary, install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent
· To move materials from warehouse locations to loading dock by placing them in the correct loading dock area;
· To count and record number of units of materials picked for tickets;
· To verify dimensions and appearance of goods for adherence to specifications listed on tickets;
· To read, interpret, and pick correctly the intended goods from an order ticket;
· To notify supervisor of all defective materials and damage as soon as it occurs;
· To adhere to all company and safety policies, including wearing all required PPE;
· To wear proper work attire, including close-toed shoes and safety vests, at all times while moving about the warehouse;
· To report any company and safety policy violations, work-related injuries or incidents, and workplace discrimination to supervisor or Human Resources Department;
· To prepare goods for shipping by bundling, wrapping, and labelling materials if necessary;
· To work normal operating hours, including overtime when necessary; and
· To perform any other duties required to complete assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Education/Experience. Less than a high school education, or six (6) months of related training or experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
· Skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate professionals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret a measuring tape. Ability to use reason and logic to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
· Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations. All applicants must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
· Physical Demands. Employees are regularly required to do the following for:
o Employees are regularly required to: stand, walk, use hand and power tools, lift and move materials between 5 and 50 lbs., and work and communicate effectively with other employees.
o Employees are occasionally required to: climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or bend at the waist, lift and move materials up to 100 lbs.
o Required specific vision abilities include: close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
