Dean's Professional Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Phlebotomist II to join a high-performing lab facility in Houston, TX. Position Overview:
As a Phlebotomist II, you'll be responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and processing. You'll serve as the face of the lab, providing a calm and reassuring presence to patients while delivering fast, accurate, and professional service.
What You'll Do:
- Perform blood draws for diagnostic testing with precision and care
- Verify patient identity and label samples accurately at the point of collection
- Handle pediatric, geriatric, venous, and capillary collections with skill and empathy
- Prepare specimens for transport and testing in accordance with lab protocols
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients in both English and Spanish
- Record documentation and follow lab procedures for specimen tracking and reporting
- Work efficiently in a high-volume setting while delivering quality, error-free work
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Required
- 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric - Required
- Phlebotomy certification - Preferred
- Background in medical assisting, EMT/paramedic training - Preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Proficiency with data entry and electronic systems
- Patience, professionalism, and a calm demeanor under pressure
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shifts (Shift times may vary)
- Compensation: Starting at $18 /hr, based on experience
