Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Phlebotomist to work in a Lab Facility in San Antonio, Texas.

A Phlebotomist is responsible for providing phlebotomy services for the phlebotomy team.
Job Duties :
- Properly identifies patient according to policy, draws blood samples, labels specimens and sends them to laboratory for analysis.
- Maintains records of tests performed and samples taken.
- Generates patient collection lists and labels, ensures the correct test are collected by using inquiry mode, verifying collection of all specimens, and labels STATS with stickers.
- Checks collection batches and overdue lists frequently and ensures that all orders are promptly collected.
- Performs special tests to include clotting time, bleeding time and glucose tolerance tests as needed and reports results.
- Inventories supplies, equipment and requisitions as needed.
- Stocks workstation with necessary supplies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
