Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Technical Lab Scientist to work for a Lab Facility in Lenexa, KS.

The Technical Lab Scientist is responsible for applying advanced scientific expertise and methods to design, develop, and implement drugs of abuse mass spectrometry assays. Conducts development, feasibility and validation studies applying advanced scientific principles to projects or products of strategic importance to the organization. Trains and guides scientific personnel at various levels as needed and offers scientific design and statistical analysis to assigned projects.
Job Duties :
· Design and improve LC-MS/MS assays for detecting drugs in biological samples (e.g., urine, hair).
· Optimize test parameters like sample prep, chromatography, and mass spectrometry to get accurate results.
· Plan experiments and carry out research for medium to large projects.
· Record and analyze data from experiments, troubleshooting issues along the way.
· Encourage new ideas and help train other scientists in lab techniques.
· Lead projects and guide junior staff members in method development.
· Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assay reports, and other technical documents.
· Present results to management and customers clearly, both in writing and speaking.
· Follow all industry regulations and quality standards in testing and development.
· Analyze and interpret LC-MS/MS data to ensure reliable results.
· Maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS equipment and software with minimal assistance.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.)
· 1-3 years of experience in LC-MS/MS method development.
· Proven experience with developing LC-MS/MS assays for drug testing.
· Experience developing and improving LC-MS/MS assays for drug detection.
· Proficiency in handling LC-MS/MS equipment and analyzing data.
· Solid understanding of experimental design and statistical methods.
· Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on results.
Job Details:
· Schedule/Shift: Day Shift (roughly 8-5 with flexibility), M-F generally
· Sometimes OT or Weekend work may be needed/allowed.
· Starting Pay $48 - $57/Hr. (based on experience) benefits.
