SCHOOL BUS ROUTER

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for planning school bus routes and transportation scheduled as well as general office duties including dispatching. Driving a school bus may be occasionally required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and organize bus routes and transportation schedules to ensure safe and efficient busing is achieved.
- Use computerized routing system, two-way radios and office equipment.
- Assist supervisors in dispatching and driving assignments, as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports, and maintain related logs.
- Analyze situations accurately, troubleshoot and adopt an effective course of action to solve problems.
- Assist walk-in visitors who come into the dispatch office, as needed.
- Participate in computer training and all other required company training.
- Other duties as assigned.
