Phlebotomist

Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Phlebotomists to work in Connecticut ( Bridgeport, Danbury, Mansfield, Norwich, Milford).

The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. They also have direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Venipuncture on Geriatrics, Pediatrics, and Adults.

• Use butterfly and straight stick needles.

• Custom Service

• Data Entry

• Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintains required records and documentation. 

• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general. 

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment – Preferred 

• Current Phlebotomy experience

• Keyboard/data entry experience – Required 

• Must have EXCELLENT people skills with lots of patience and nurturing.

Job Details:

• Schedule:Various Schedules (Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, 7am-4pm)

• Starting at $20/hr. (Based on experience)
