Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various legal tasks and provide administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and document findings
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts and pleadings
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel
- Prepare discovery materials and assist with trial preparation
- Handle administrative tasks within the law office, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using document management systems like iManage
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in Family Law and Personal Injury Law
- Strong clerical and administrative skills to support attorneys effectively
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Family Law or Personal Injury Law practices
- Experience working in a law office setting
- Knowledge of administrative tasks related to legal proceedings
