Job Description

Our small neighborhood fish market Obadiah's, located near the Jersey shore is searching for an passionate and customer service-oriented fish monger to join our team. With us, you’ll share with patrons your knowledge of seafood and help guide them with how to cooking and recipe ideas. You will also have the chance to set up displays, come up with daily specials and seasonal promotions, all while enjoying the benefits of working on with a close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for an outgoing personality and lover of all things Jersey shore local.

Preferred Experience

2 Years in Wholesale or Retail Sales
Handling Seafood
Boning
Filleting
Shucking Clams and Oysters
Merchandising Seafood

Essential Functions

Set up and break down food cases and retail shelves to prepare for service.

Basic food and safety knowledge

Maintains cleanliness and mise en place of stations throughout service.

Responsible for identifying items prepared for guests with allergies and dietary restrictions.

Creates memorable experiences to build repeat business.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally

Push and / or pull up to 75 pounds. The employee will spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking.

Seasonal from 5 / 5 / 2024 - 10 / 1 / 2024

Hourly rate $18.00 / plus tips

Salary : $18
