This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to infection control and patient safety. *Responsibilities* - Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. - Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. - Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing precise dental impressions. - Record and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit. - Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. - Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as needed. *Qualifications* - Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. - Familiarity with Epic software is a plus. - Knowledge of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting. - Experience with pediatric dentistry is advantageous. - Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding general dentistry procedures. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records. - Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
