A fusion of elegance and comfort, the DeBordieu’s Beach Club is one of the latest renovated beachfront dining gems that is perfect for all seasons. With its outdoor screened-in porch, spacious seating, cozy couch area and fireplace, modern high-top tables and luminous bars, this space transcends mere elegance, offering warmth amidst the coastal allure. Two of our newest dining spaces at the Beach Club are Lafayette and Lulu’s, both named after historical figures and aspects of DeBordieu’s rich heritage. Lafayette embodies elegance and sophistication, ideal for cherished gatherings and special occasions. Lulu's, on the other hand, offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere, perfect for laid-back meals and unwinding with friends and family. Both spaces feature open kitchens, allowing our talented chefs to showcase their culinary expertise while engaging with the members and guests alike.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Vibrantly greets and acknowledges every member and guest in a friendly and timely manner that is warm and welcoming upon entering the dining room.

Anticipates the needs of members and guests by ensuring all supplies are readily available before and during service.

Maintains an organized, clean, safe and accident-free environment.

Provides accurate wait times and monitors waitlists when applicable.

Assists with managing reservations and escorts customers to assigned dining or bar areas.

Provides menus and informs members and guests of who their server is.

Coordinates and communicates with waitstaff about available seating options and other pertinent information.

Caters to guests requiring extra attention (e.g. children, elderly).

Answers incoming calls and addresses members’ queries.

Interacts with guests as they leave the restaurant to confirm a positive dining experience.

Supports waitstaff with additional duties as needed.

Maintains an accurate record of the reservations, seating preferences, and special requests.

Tracks table rotation to ensure all servers receive the right number of guests.

Responds to client complaints and informs management.

Collaborates with the team to ensure the dining area standards are maintained at a high level to include lighting, music, and décor needed to create a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere.

Memorizes the menu and dietary options in the event a member or guests asks.

Completes opening and closing duties and side work.

Attends pre-shift : and designated staff meetings as well as training sessions.

Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Education and / or Experience

High School Diploma / GED

Minimum of one year work experience in a restaurant or food establishment.

Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.

Licenses and Special Requirements

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

CPR / AED and / or First Aid Certification a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches.

Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds.

Continuous repetitive motions.

Works in a fast-paced, high-traffic, and noisy environment.

PT / FT Hourly, nonexempt

Starting at $14 / hr
