Overview
Debski & Associates, P.A. is seeing a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Duties
- Work with attorneys to manage case files, prepare pleadings and draft correspondence for litigation and post-judgment matters.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Distribution of incoming pleadings.
- Electronic court filing.
- Coordinate and set hearings with Courts, opposing counsel and pro se defendants
- Calendaring, Scheduling Depositions, Mediations & Hearings.
- Professional interaction with clients, attorneys and the courts.
- Posting payments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role preferably in a small law office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
