Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Area Manager will manage all day-to-day operations of a dental office location and support assigned territory, including employee relations, patient relations, and achieving operational goals. This role will report to the Regional Manager and will support the overall productivity and profitability for multiple dental office locations.
- Achieving revenue goals by effectively managing the office teams, patient scheduling, staff productivity, ensuring adherence to office budgets, collections and receivables
- Ensuring successful execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies and procedures
- Staff development, performance management and coaching
- Auditing patient accounts to ensure accuracy
- Presenting treatment plans and assisting guests with overcoming financial obstacles
- Handling all patient service issues to ensure excellent guest satisfaction
- Building team morale to support company culture and employee engagement
- Creating staff schedules
- Completing daily and monthly reporting
- Attending meetings and communicating with other departments
- Performing all other duties assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years dental practice management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years multi-unit management experience, preferably in a dental setting
- Proficiency with dental insurance plans and dental terminology highly desirable
- Strong familiarity and expertise presenting patient treatment plans and financial arrangements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
- The desire and ability to connect with and serve guests
- Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
- Dental platform experience – EagleSoft, Denticon, etc, is a plus
