Job Summary
Set up and operate 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC mill machines for the aerospace & defense industry.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load programs and perform setups, inspect parts and verify following setup sheets, blueprints, and customer specifications, and internal work orders.
- Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers.
- Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.
- Complete machining tasks within a customer job.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce precision products.
- May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC mills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.
- Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
- Attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
- Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials.
Physical Demands
- This position is in a climate controlled environment.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
