What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Manager Nurse position at Decatur Medical Lodge?
Floor Manager Nurse
- Full Time, M-F base schedule, 2:00PM – 10:00PM
- Will also be in the on-call rotation, to include working 12-hour shifts in place of nurses who call off.
- Working manager position, hands-on
- Overseeing charge nurses, medication aids, and CNA’s
- Reports directly to ADONs, but also to the DON
- Ideal candidate would need to be hardworking, driven, passionate about their work, caring, and be eager to constantly learn more and grow.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Admin support is not limited to but could possibly include the following:
- Scheduling
- Offloading for ADONs
- Making sure infection precautions are correct (match residents, signs, care plans, profile and portal).
- Making sure night LVN tasks are being completed- glucometer logs, cart audits with meds, 02 tubing/humidifiers being changed.
- Making sure we have stock of everything we need for the next day.
- Chart audits/oversight
- Possible wound portal audits
- Actively ensuring interventions are in place
- Fall prevention, oxygen, etc.
- Trains and supervises nursing floor staff
- Staff are better because of the Floor Manager Nurse
