Position / Specialty : Med Surg Neuro RN
Shift : 4x12 or 3x12s Nights (1800-0630)
Avg. Daily Census : 32
Years of experience REQ : Minimum 2 years' experience required.
First-timers accepted : No
Weekend REQ : Will work every other weekend
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.
Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Locals accepted : Yes- no radius.
Must have active IL license to apply.
RTO Restrictions : Ideally no more than 5 days.

Required Work Setting Experience : Med / Surg
Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills / Experience : Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills / Experience : Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management
Required IV therapy / Phlebotomy Skills / Experience : Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
Required Neurological / Psychiatric Case Skills / Experience : CVA, Pre / Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury
Experience with Surgical drains required
Required Respiratory Case Skills / Experience : Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, CPAP / BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre / Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management
Required Professional Knowledge and Skills : Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac
Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required
Cerner experience required
Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred
Trauma Level II Experience Preferred

Additional Details
A legible copy of a valid / current US Driver’s license or US ID card
Badge photo required within a week of signing. This is due no later than Monday before start. Photo must be in color from mid-shoulders up. It must be taken against a plain background, preferably dark blue or dark gray with appropriate clothing and no filters. Not needed for any candidate extending from Focus One.
