What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educational Media Support Level I (EMS) position at Decatur Public Schools?
PURPOSE: To provide technical assistance with setup and maintenance of the District’s digital learning environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma required; relevant information technology experience preferred
2. Knowledge of information technology operations
3. Advanced software skills
4. Distinguished communication and customer service skills
5. Ability to work independently, recognize priorities in work load and shift from task-to-task as needed
REPORTS TO:
1. Director of Information Technology
2. Coordinator of Information Technology
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(The following are the essential fundamentals to include but not limited to the following job duties.)
1. Assist with the deployment and collection of Individual Learning Devices at assigned locations
2. Diagnose/Troubleshoot building PCs
3. Diagnose/Troubleshoot Individual Learning Devices
4. Troubleshoot all wireless connectivity issues
5. Oversee building server
6. Assist in the management of user accounts and devices in Active Directory
7. Upgrade and install equipment and hardware as needed
8. Track all appropriate device changes in mobile device management system
9. Manage, prioritize and complete all assigned work order requests
10. Provide appropriate assistance to staff members of assigned locations
11. Provide technology support to assigned locations within District
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary is based upon salary schedule established by the Board.
261 days per year
FSLA: Non-Exempt
GRADE LEVEL: 7B
