Resident Monitor

Job Summary
Decatur Transitional Housing Complex is an adult male transitional housing facility designed to meet the challenging housing needs of individuals reentering the community. Men are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, providing assistance and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Check residents in and out of the facility.
• Screen residents and take temperatures upon arrival.
• Develop and maintain resident files.
• Monitor cameras to ensure safety and security.
• Observe resident activities and behaviors, reporting any issues or incidents to management as needed.
• Assist with emergency situations, ensuring residents are informed and supported.
• Perform regular checks on resident units to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all residents.
• Promote a positive and inclusive community atmosphere among residents.
• Turn in all completed paperwork at the end of each shift.
• Collaborate with team members to improve the overall resident experience and satisfaction.
• Answer business phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate staff members.
• Other duties may apply as assigned.

Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or monitoring role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
