Deceuninck is looking for Production Extrusion Supervisor for our Fernley, NV facility. The Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and leading the activities of a production crew by effectively communicating with the Plant Manager. This position will also be responsible for auditing profiles to verify conformance to specifications, while adhering to safety regulations, for a Day Shift. Core Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to safety regulations.
- Manage employee resources and plant production to achieve and meet production standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate activities and communications with supporting departments:
- Routers and labels printed
- Maintenance work orders
- Tooling order sheets
- Announcement sheets
- Support, mentor and communicate announcement and employee successes.
- Manage and support effective employee training and orientation programs to support employee growth, knowledge and development.
- Maintain attendance records for all employees.
- Approve/deny routine PTO requests from employees.
- Coordinate leaves of absence with Human Resources Department.
- Review exception reports for payroll accuracy and approve time-cards.
- Audit housekeeping on a regular basis.
- Develop, review and implement policies and procedures, providing required training to employees on new policies and procedures.
- Define, communicate and implement projects for improved production.
- Make suggestions to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
- Help facilitate improvement through participation on intra-company teams.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Two to four years of front line manufacturing supervision experience is required.
- Three to five years of experience in plastics production preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma or (GED) required.
