Job Opportunity :
We are currently seeking Data Software Engineer for a W2 contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. Position Description :
The position will involve design, implementation, testing, and launch of new applications for loading dealer data and generating analytical insights. The position requires a strong foundation in Big Data with knowledge of Python and SQL query language. The primary focus involves the migration of data landing and transformation jobs from Teradata to Airflow (Astronomer) and BigQuery. The professional will work closely with IT team members and Business Owners to understand various business processes and apply this knowledge to design and implement solutions.
Skills Required :Skills Preferred :
- Strong Analytical skills
- 3 years experience with ETL solutions
- 3 years experience of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- 3 years experience SQL / Oracle / Teradata
- Ability to lead and mentor associate engineers
- Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts
- Experience with Airflow (Astronomer)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with BigQuery

Additional Information :
The role is hybrid with one day (Wednesday) at Rotunda Center. There is potential for the number of onsite days to increase, but at present only 1 day is required.
