Job Purpose

• The Manufacturing Supervisor position is a role that oversees the packaging, cart filling and decarboxylation of oil for the company. It is responsible for the management of a packaging team to accomplish the goals set forth by Decibel Gardens. Adherence to strict SOP’s and attention to detail ensuring the best quality is being provided to our customers and retail partners. A strong focus on data collection, projected timelines, communication and leadership are all necessary to excel in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels for the manufacturing department of packaging goods and necessary materials for the jobs to be completed.
• Work with upper management to execute on the goals of bringing products to market and hitting deadlines.
• Ensure Cured Resin, Live Resin and Live Rosin carts are properly filled and quality control is met.
• Overseeing the packaging of Rosin and Live Resin concentrates.
• Manage the decarboxylation process of Rosin for the purpose of packaging into carts.
• Helping schedule the collection, transport and delivery from our contracted farms and manufacturing partners.
• Working with our manufacturing partners on interpreting and communicating the data to upper management.
• Taking all the data collected and organizing spreadsheets for the company to review to make financially responsible decisions on yield reports and quality analysis.
• Communication with our Type 6 and Type 7 Manufacturing partners to ensure the processing of our material are hitting quality expectations and meeting the projected deadlines.
• Work with Decibel Gardens to ensure we are sourcing the material from farm partners for manufacturing purposes.
• Work with our company to constantly expand our portfolio offerings with manufactured items for our retail partners.
• Managing the proper labeling, storage and tracking of all concentrate batches in bulk and packaged form.

Required Skills

• Experience working with Type 6 and Type 7 post manufacturing process.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience operating Thompson Duke Semi Auto Vape filling machinery, capping equipment and hand held cart filling machinery.
• High level of confidence and experience handling the decarboxylation process of Cold Cure Rosin for the use in carts.
• Understanding and aligning with the mission of our company
• Be willing and comfortable working on site & in the field, while being a good representative of our company and our brand
• Ability to collaborate and problem solve in real time to properly manage B2B relationships.
• Proficient in Google sheets, google suite, inventory management systems.
• Managing a small team of key individuals to help accomplish your goals.

Working conditions/Physical requirements

• Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods while maintaining focus.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and balance up to 50 lbs. and be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.
• Work is performed in a fast-paced cannabis facility & with brand partners.
• Work is subject to weather conditions, including rain and extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Type 6 and Type 7 Packaging & Cart Filling: 3 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Santa Cruz, CA 95060: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
