Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join the Global Transportation Planning and Groups Operational Passenger System (GTP-GOPAX) team. The Junior Business Analyst will support senior team members in gathering requirements, analyzing data, and assisting in the implementation of software solutions. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their skills in business analysis and Agile methodologies within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
This position is onsite at Scott AFB.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in gathering and documenting software system requirements from stakeholders.
Support senior analysts in troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions.
Participate in internal testing, ensuring that solutions meet documented requirements.
Help prepare documentation, including user manuals, test plans, and requirement specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Agile processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
Participate in Joint Advisory Design (JAD) sessions to help clarify requirements and propose solutions.
Assist in preparing presentation slides for demonstrations and client meetings.
Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and help track progress of bug fixes and enhancements.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help maintain project documentation.
Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance.
Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security CE highly preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field.
High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant technical experience and certifications.
Basic knowledge of project management tools like Jira and collaboration platforms like Confluence.
Exposure to web development technologies and programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, HTML / CSS).
Familiarity with testing tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, and SoapUI.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative, Agile-focused team environment.
