About us
Deck House Tavern is located at Seacoast Adventure in Windham, Maine about 35 minutes from Lewiston and 25 minutes from Portland. We are looking for another great team member for our year-round restaurant.
We are looking for a Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our kitchen. Must be at least 17 years old to apply for this position. Must be hard working, responsible, and have reliable transportation. Pay is hourly and dependent on experience (range 14.50-17.50) This position requires working evenings and weekends. Skills
- Prior Dishwasher or Restaurant experience minimum 1 year. Great second job or after school job.
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
- High school diploma is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machine
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden tasting boards and copper mugs)
- Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Restock dish detergent and other cleaning supplies
- Check washing machines’ operation and report any mechanical issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize the dish area, including the floor
