Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Development Manager to oversee the design and execution of residential outdoor living projects. This role serves as the central point of coordination between clients, internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for excellence to manage projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to conceptualize and design residential outdoor living spaces, including decks and full backyard resorts.
- Manage all project phases, from initial concept and design development to construction documentation and project closeout.
- Draft, stamp, and approve construction documents, with a focus on projects in NJ, NY, CT, and PA.
- Ensure compliance with structural codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on zoning challenges and offer value-engineered solutions to meet client and project goals.
- Review and revise project renderings, animations, and construction documents for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, engineers, and construction crews, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Regularly update the operations manager on project progress, addressing any risks or issues proactively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely delivery.
Qualifications:
- Registered or Licensed Architect in NJ, NY, CT, PA (or willingness to obtain reciprocal licensure).
- , with a focus on outdoor living spaces and structural elements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential structural codes, particularly for decks and outdoor structures.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and approving construction documents.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proven ability to navigate zoning regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as RealTime Landscape Architect or SketchUp.
- Experience with permit applications and zoning approvals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in outdoor residential construction.
