Job Description:
Decker Properties, Inc. is seeking an additional full-time, first shift Maintenance and Grounds Technician to assist in servicing stabilized, newer construction apartments, completing apartment renovations, and performing general grounds maintenance tasks in Whitewater, WI. This position is also required to assist with maintenance and grounds tasks as needed in Delavan, WI. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and works well with others. Candidate must be highly organized, and results-oriented with a strong attention to detail, and must be able to plan and prioritize their assignments. Strong problem-solving abilities, mobile device proficiency, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Candidate should be calm under pressure and work well as a team member, while also possessing the ability to function in a self-sufficient manner.

Position requires 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed. Candidate should have their own maintenance appropriate vehicle and necessary tools to complete light duty carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repairs as well as other miscellaneous maintenance tasks.

Daily tasks will include but not limited to: service calls for existing residents, make-readies of apartments in-between tenants, occasional apartment upgrades, and assorted groundskeeping tasks. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Ability to operate lawn and snow equipment is a must, including but not limited to plow truck, skid-steer, zero-turn lawn mower, line trimmer, and push mower. Lawn and snow equipment will be provided by employer. Strong small engine and outdoor power equipment repair skills are a plus. Participation in snow removal operations is required, at all times of day and night, and in all conditions during the winter months.

This job covers a broad range of skillsets and disciplines.

Employee-owned smartphone and use of our timesheet app (currently Quickbooks Time) is required.

Additional equipment may be provided by employer as needed.

This position has a minimum 90-Day probationary period.

Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $26 per hour depending on experience
