The Role
The Maintenance Lead, under general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, and or Manager; oversees, directs and manages the associates assigned to the area. The role may support the supervisor and or manager with other leadership functions. The Maintenance Lead performs variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification and repair activities in assigned maintenance operational areas which may include robotic, automation, preventative maintenance, building maintenance, conveyors, equipment maintenance, electrical and performs related work as required.
The role will also include but not limited to preventative maintenance across the distribution center, troubleshooting and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position will be working with robots, AC/DC controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatics, hydraulic and electricity and with voltages of up to 480 volts.
The job will entail with the direction of the supervisor, leading and supporting the team with preventative maintenance of equipment and the facility/ building, production equipment, and the robotic area, troubleshooting robots, and repairing. Manage projects and plan maintenance work orders. Provide training to lower grade levels. In addition to the technical skills requires the ability to assign work, direct employees, review work performed and documentation on work orders.

Your Impact
- Provide day-to-day direction to the members of the maintenance team. Inspect work performed by others and review the documentation on work orders.
- Provide preventative maintenance to the department area assigned, including troubleshoot of the robotic system, maintain and upkeep of the area for effectiveness and maximized results.
- Support and Collaborate for Continuous improvement of the robotic system
- Collaborate with the operations team and or other functions.
- Under general supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves, setups and other facilities related tasks. Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. Perform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire. Follow lockout-tag out procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required. Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.
- Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed.
- Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.
- Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment.
- Plan maintenance work orders and enter data in the computerized maintenance management system.

We’d love to hear from people with
- 2 years of Distribution Center robotic system knowledge and or experience
- Experience working around pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills and industrial electrical systems
- Maintenance related certificate or 2 plus year maintenance experience working in industrial or manufacturing environment., 3-4 years conveyors, controls and operating systems of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
- Proficient at electrical trouble shooting
- PLC experience
- Automation experience
- Robotic Experience is a plus
Functional Competencies:
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings
- Ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC
- Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).
- Experience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Regarded as a system expert in at least one area (i.e. conveyors, printers, applicators)
- Highly motivated, a team player and a self-starter
- Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative constructive manner
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to positively influence others
- Strong project planning and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance and best practices is a plus

- Experience with fork truck and other power equipment preferred
