The Role

As a Security Analyst II , you will play a pivotal role in protecting and defending the integrity of our systems.
In this role, you will :
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents : Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents providing detailed reports to management.
- Engage in proactive threat hunting : Identify hidden threats across our network through proactive threat-hunting techniques, addressing issues before they escalate.
- Automate security processes : Implement and manage automation tools to streamline repetitive security tasks, improving response times and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate on security strategies : Work alongside senior security engineers and IT teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Enhance threat intelligence : Stay up-to-date on current security trends and emerging threats, providing actionable insights to strengthen our defenses and report and advise management on remediation.
- Incident Response Lead : Serve as Incident Commander during major security incidents, coordinating response efforts and ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage Security Projects : Be a key resource from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and documentation.
- Lead Purple Team initiatives : coordinate offensive (Red Team) and defensive (Blue Team) security activities to identify vulnerabilities, validate defensive controls, and enhance overall threat detection and response capabilities with security vendors. Drive collaboration between teams to improve security posture and ensure continuous testing of systems and processes.

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
