What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Delivery Driver - Part-Time, Days/Afternoons position at Deckerville Community Hospital?
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to assist the pharmacist in the operations of the pharmacy and prescription delivery within the area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the mission and goals of Aspire – Rural Health System and contribute to the continuous improvement of hospital and health service operations.
- Assist patients in the pharmacy drive-thru and front interior of the store.
- Ring out patients using pharmacy registers. This includes making cash, credit, or check sales.
- Able to give correct change when making cash sales.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- With Aspire help, properly maintain, or assist in the proper maintenance of supplied delivery vehicle.
- Able to drive within a 20-mile radius (approximately) from the pharmacy using mobile GPS system.
- Verify and deliver correct medications to correct patient and collect signature on delivery tablet supplied by the pharmacy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
- Able to drive safely on a consistent basis.
- Good communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- An up-to-date Michigan’s Driver’s License in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
