About the role
The LTL Lead plays a key role in leading the LTL operations at the Distribution Center. Monitoring of Safety, Quality, and Production of the LTL team while working on continuous improvement initiatives. As a member of the Distribution Center the LTL Lead oversees the LTL Department to make sure we fulfill our missions – Help People Build Better Decks!
The LTL Lead is accountable for all LTL activities at the DC. The LTL Lead is vital in creating a safe environment, putting the customer first by ensuring quality, all while driving production for same-day shipments in this department.

- RF Smart
- Microsoft Excel & Word (Google Docs/Sheets)
- Department Knowledge (Picking/Packing in LTL)
- Strategic
- Oversee the LTL team while focusing on Safety, Quality, Production
- Manage relationships with leadership members and associates at both DC and HQ
- Assist in evaluating and improving processes within the department
- Communication
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication
- Comfortable talking in front of groups of associates
- Comfortable having difficult conversations one-on-one
- Financial
- Understand labor costs within the scope of the department
- Understand shipping costs within the scope of the department
- Management
- Oversee day-to-day work, ensure shipping same day
- Ensure employee performance within the department
- Oversee LTL Freight Board, manage BOLs, and work with HQ Transportation Coordinator
Qualifications:
- 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse Coordinator or Leadership Experience (Preferred)
- 6 months of Warehouse Experience (Required)
- Experience Managing Daily Workforce for hourly team members (preferred)
- Experience in administering Feedback through corrective actions, one-on-ones, and on-the-floor directions (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively

- Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs, occasionally team lift 100 lbs
- Build pallets to load decking on to ship
- Use of power tools (saws & nail gun)
Position Details
- Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
- Hourly / Non-exempt (eligible for overtime Monday-Friday)
- Pay Range: $24.00-25.00 per hour
- Reports to: LTL Lead/DC Supervisor
- Location: Whitestown, IN
- Internal position: not remote or telecommute
