As the DecksDirect Sales Manager, your primary job function is to coach, train, motivate, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives and Account Managers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets. Our inside sales team consists of 3 sales groups: Product Specialists, Sr. Sales Reps, and Account Managers. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of all 3 groups, that will require different goals, tactics, and expected outcomes.
This role requires a combination of analytical and sales skills, a commitment to delivering a seamless customer experience and the ability to work cross functionally with other divisions within DecksDirect to maximize outcomes and drive company success. Partnering with key stakeholders in Marketing and Product, to make sure the sales team is apprised of upcoming changes, as well as advocating for the sales perspective to these groups.
You will be responsible for the hiring/training/performance management, and overall headcount for the sales team. This includes leading onboarding classes, as well as partnering with the Sales Enablement Manager to continually refine the coaching and sales playbook.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly sales goals
- Performance manage team with documented 1 on 1 coaching, feedback, and call listening
- Celebrate and highlight team and individual sales successes with the rest of the organization
- Prepare and report on team performance to Senior Leadership team as required
- Partner with Sales Enablement to drive continuous process changes, technology refinements, and pipeline optimizations
- Develop and execute outbound call campaigns targeting existing and prospective customers
- Partner with leadership on outbound targeted vertical campaign strategy
- Partner with marketing to shape the annual promotional calendar
- Have a complete understanding of KPIs relevant to revenue, margin, and other sales goals
- Develop annual sales incentives/contests to drive year over year performance
- Continually evolve training content and delivery methods based on previous feedback
- Manage the Quality Assurance program, rotating sales process focus areas
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience successfully leading an inside sales team to exceed quota; 10 or more years of total sales experience preferred
- Previous experience managing a phone based sales team in an e-commerce environment
- Passionate about coaching, always working to use key metrics to drive the right behaviors
- Track record of developing new sales talent into top performers
- Ability to manage seasoned sales talent to maximize their performance
- Promotes a positive and energetic sales atmosphere with the team
- Ability to deliver results, while working in a high growth environment
- Track record of strong collaboration with other departments or business functions, with focus on achieving shared goals
- Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Effective time management skills
- Strong computer skills including CRM, Microsoft Office, and Google software suites
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week, dependant upon sales drive times, seasonality, or team needs

Position Details & Benefits:
- Salaried, Full-Time
- $85,000 annually
- PTO – 15 days accrued per year, ramps with tenure
