About the role
Position Summary : The Accounting Manager plays a key role as a member of the Management Team in fulfilling the DecksDirect's mission - Help People Build Better Decks - and is accountable for performing accounting activities and financial analysis in support of our business units, leading our accounting team and oversight of the company's financial operations. This is a dynamic role providing reconciliation, transaction oversight, reporting, and analytical support for a growing e-commerce business.
The Accounting Manager will also play a crucial role in accurate financial reporting, implementing effective internal controls, and providing insightful analysis to support informed business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership. The ideal candidate will also thrive in a player / coach role with the ability to roll up their sleeves and do the work while also providing supervision of finance department team members.
Responsibilities :
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions with a hands-on approach, including but not limited to :
Oversee financial transactions for coding and accuracy
