Job Summary:
The Court Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the coordination and administration of court-related programs for individuals involved in the legal system due to substance use disorders (SUD). This position ensures efficient collaboration between treatment providers, court personnel, attorneys, and community resources to support individuals in recovery while maintaining compliance with court-mandated programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the court-based SUD program, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the court system, treatment providers, probation officers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor program participants’ progress, including treatment adherence, drug testing results, and compliance with court orders.
- Develop and implement case management strategies to support participants in achieving sobriety and legal compliance.
- Facilitate court hearings by preparing case updates, reports, and recommendations for judges and attorneys.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all program participants.
- Provide training and guidance to staff, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance resources available to program participants.
- Analyze program data and provide reports to measure outcomes and suggest improvements.
- Advocate for policy improvements to enhance substance use disorder treatment within the justice system.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in court services, substance use treatment, case management, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery processes.
- Experience working within the criminal justice system or with court-mandated treatment programs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Familiarity with legal documentation, case management software, and confidentiality laws (e.g., HIPAA).
