Summary
DeConna Ice Cream is looking for a motivated, and organized person who has experience in Route Delivery in the Jacksonville (Duval County) area.
The ideal candidate will live in the area and will be responsible for delivering ice cream and novelties to a pre-set route of c-stores, schools, and other area businesses. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent customer interaction and communication, with safe and courteous driving skills is a must.
A clean motor vehicle record is required for this position.
DeConna is a drug free work environment, a drug test will be required a well as a background and MVR check.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods along assigned routes
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Follow the planned routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for by the recipient
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Skills:
- Experience with refrigerated and perishable goods
- Knowledge of warehouse operations to facilitate loading procedures
- Prior experience in route driving and delivery services
