Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Intern hones their technical skills in a real-world professional setting at DeCrescente Distributing Company This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the world of business intelligence and data analytics. The BI Intern will assist with gathering, analyzing, and reporting on data that drives business decisions and strategies.

Essential Functions:
- Assist in collecting and processing large datasets from various sources.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to business strategies.
- Support the development of data models and dashboards to visualize key metrics and performance indicators.
- Create and maintain regular reports for management and end users.
- Present data findings in a clear and concise manner using charts, graphs, and other visual aids.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in reports and presentations.
- Develop proficiency in SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data.
- Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software to create interactive dashboards and reports.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with BI tools and SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Work Shift Requirements:
- Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
- Must speak to supervisor to notify him/her any time prior to the beginning of work shift when calling in sick. Voice mail or e-mail messages are not acceptable replacements.
- Use and maintenance of company-issued laptop and cell phone.
