Sales Manager Electron Microscopy USA
Your Tasks
- Sales Management of DECTRIS Electron Detector sales in the US: Responsible for managing and expanding sales to end customers. Focus on meeting customer needs, and growing long-term business relationships
- Active Sales and Market Development: Driving Sales by actively searching and identifying leads. Expansion of customer network and brand visibility through frequent travel for direct customer visits, presentations and industry events
- Customer Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Actively manage communication between customers and our internal teams
- Technical Expertise and Customer Solutions: Utilize your technical knowledge in electron microscopy to identify customer needs and match them with our product offerings for an optimal solution
- Sales Customer Intelligence: Support market teams with customer demand and customer feedback
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cooperate remotely with marketing, product and customer service teams located in Switzerland to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer satisfaction
- Market Intelligence and Sales Performance Monitoring: Provide reports on market outlook
Your Skills
- Education: Master’s or higher degree in a discipline with a technical focus (engineering, physics or similar)
- Business Interest: Enthusiasm to work with cutting-edge technology, paired with business acumen and flair for sales
- Experience in the field of electron microscopy: deep knowledge of electron microscopy and the ability to communicate effectively. A well-established network in the field is highly beneficial
- Sales experience: Ideally, previous experience in sales or sales-related roles for high-tech products
- Independent work ethic: We’re looking for a self-motivating individual who can work independently from remote locations while maintaining good cross-functional collaboration
- Technical/Scientific Communication: Ability to understand complex technical products and effectively communicate their benefits to customers in their respective applications
- Travel: Eagerness and ability to travel 30% - 40%, mainly US on frequent trips of short duration. Existing permission to work in the US is required
- Language Skills: Business proficiency in English. German and/or other languages of advantage
