We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and transported safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience with various warehouse equipment and a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Perform heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with order picking as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment including order pickers and heavy lifting devices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
