Dedicated Home Health is an orthopedic, physician owned, home health agency affiliated with the Dedicated Orthopedic Center of East Texas in Lufkin and Livingston, Texas. Our agency was founded by our well-established and respected group of orthopedic surgeons for the purpose of serving our patient population with the best orthopedic care. Dedicated Home Health specializes in post-operative physical therapy that provides expert-level services specifically to orthopedic and musculoskeletal patients. Our nurses and therapists have direct communication with our surgeons for focused, up-to-date, specialized care for our patients.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who can work independently and make decisions on how to care for patients. The RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in a home health setting. Responsibilities will include creating a full treatment plan, supervising and training lower level health care professionals, and identifying opportunities for clinical growth. The ideal candidate has a background in Home Health services and has experience working with Orthopedics.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to work in a variety of home health settings.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family and colleagues.
- Initiate appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
- Assume responsibility for coordination of care.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of
- NursingLicensure: Current Texas State license as a Registered Nurse, current Texas Drivers LicenseExperience: One year experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting, home health preferred
- Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills. Proof of current CPR, negative TB screen, and Hepatitis consent/declaration.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50lbs and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition; meet patient family individualized psycho social needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Pay: $100.00 - $350.00 per day
