Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee.

Our client is looking for an architect consultant position to aid in modernization efforts in the migration of legacy mainframe functionality to a cloud-based microservices architecture. Our client desires this resource to aid in the design and implementation of new solution architecture and hybrid cloud strategy. Our client is currently investigating a Microsoft centric application architecture that can support SQL Server or Oracle databases in Azure cloud. Our client s current data analytics are centered on Snowflake in AWS

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10 years:
  • Enterprise Architecture practices and artifacts
  • .Net microservice design, test, and implementation paradigms
  • Experience in Hybrid or Multi-Cloud implementations. Our client has a private state cloud, offerings running in Azure and AWS, as well as SaaS solutions
  • Ability to assess and develop a cloud strategy for our client. Must bring together elements from all the items/technologies/principles covered in these skills
  • Disaster recovery strategies. Knowledge of and demonstrate experience with setting up cloud disaster recovery mechanisms
  • Knowledge of database design strategies, with an understanding of the unique requirements for microservice architectures
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Understanding of SDLC principles and ability to plan solution development through implementation
  • Ability to create, maintain, and present architectural artifacts
• 7 years:
  • Experience with design, configuration, testing, and implementing solutions that leverage the following Azure Cloud Technologies:
    • Event Grid
    • Service Bus
    • Function Apps
    • App Services
    • App Insights
    • Azure Data Factory
  • Securing Azure Cloud implementations. Knowledge of security principles and technologies, as well as demonstrate experience in implementing security
  • Knowledge of CDC Pipeline technologies and ability to implement a CIDC pipeline in an Azure environment.
• 5 years:
  • Microsoft SQL Server Azure cloud implementations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 5 years:
  • Experience with Oracle Databases, specifically Oracle Autonomous database and Oracle cloud implementations such as OCI or Oracle for Azure
