Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Network Engineer to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. You will: Participate in the planning and coordinating of the designing, implementing, and maintaining the company s network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of network systems, and support the ongoing development of scalable network solutions.
- Design, configure, and maintain company-wide network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network issues, analyze system performance, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Install and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to safeguard data and systems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to optimize network performance and provide scalable solutions for future growth.
- Manage and monitor network performance, including using network management tools to detect issues and mitigate risks.
- Maintain and document network configurations, topology, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist in network capacity planning and provide recommendations for future upgrades or changes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network hardware.
- Experience with routing and switching (Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with cloud network architecture and solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network , or similar are preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
