What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at DEE Consulting?
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialized wound care assessment, treatment, and management to patients with acute and chronic wounds. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure optimal wound healing outcomes.
In this role, you will be given auto reimbursement, tablet, cell phone, etc., and go to different settings (rehab, retirement, long-term care, short-term care, skilled nursing, etc.), not home based, and provide responsibilities listed below. Most of the work will be M-Th, but there are some weeks where you will work Friday's, but that is rare. We pay bonuses quarterly as well! Interview process is one phone call and then one virtual teams/zoom call. No in person interview prior to hiring decision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including wound dimensions, characteristics, tissue type, presence of infection, and pain levels.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans based on the patient's condition, medical history, and specific needs.
- Provide advanced wound care interventions, including wound cleansing, debridement, dressing application, and wound closure techniques.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, including topical agents, antibiotics, and pain management medications, as needed.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as wound cultures, imaging studies, and laboratory tests, to guide treatment decisions and assess wound healing progress.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, preventive measures, and the importance of adherence to the treatment plan.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of wound healing, documenting findings and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as surgeons, vascular specialists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex wounds.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in wound care research, technologies, and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and research activities related to wound care management.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of wound assessments, treatment interventions, and patient outcomes in electronic medical records.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
